CB Apparel Is Now a Standard Licensee of the Collegiate Licensing Company
CB Apparel announced today that the company is now a Standard Licensee of the Collegiate Licensing Company.
/Apparel - Textile News Articles/ - SPOKANE, WA, June 20, 2007 - The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) is the largest collegiate trademark-licensing agency in the United States. Atlanta-based CLC is a full-service licensing and marketing company that assists collegiate institutions with a wide array of licensing and administration services, helping to protect, develop and manage their brands in the $3 billion collegiate merchandise marketplace.
CB Apparel has been a Local Licensee for the past 4 years under CLC. Local Licensees can produce licensed products for no more than 5 universities within their "local area". CB Apparel has been among the top 25 Local Licensees for the last 3 years out of over 1,600 total licensees, while servicing Washington State University, Gonzaga University, the University of Washington, the University of Idaho, and Oregon State University.
The Standard License is issued to companies who produce products for in excess of 5 universities and/or produce for schools outside of their immediate geographic area. Only about 2% of Local Licensees are accepted for conversion to the Standard License.
As a Standard Licensee, CB Apparel has now been conceptually approved to produce product for 27 more schools, including Alaska University, Alaska-Anchorage, Boise State, California State University - Northridge, California State University - Sacramento, Central Washington, Idaho State University, University of Montana, University of Montana Western, Montana State University, Montana State - Billings, Montana State College of Technology - Great Falls, Montana State Northern, Nevada, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, University of the Pacific, Pepperdine, Portland State, San Diego State, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Southern Utah, Utah State, Weber State, and Wyoming.
Products for these schools will be initially marketed via CB Apparel's nationally known website www.cudaapparel.com, using the company's E-Store technology. A wide array of styles, sizes, and designs will be available to the Administration, students, faculty, fans, and friends of the universities and colleges. CB Apparel has everything needed to accommodate this growth including a 25,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility and state-of-the-art production equipment.
CB Apparel's sales of custom decorated sports and business apparel including promotional items have increased dramatically in the past 2½ years. Its Internet site and unique E-stores, which allow businesses to augment their apparel sales and enable employees to purchase their logo products, have seen a doubling of sales in the past year. The new licensed product will continue to enhance these increases.
The new E-Stores housed on www.cudaapparel.com will be published for all added schools within the next 60 days.
