SYNTHRON Announces a Partnership with HOLQUIMICA in Columbia
The French plant SYNTHRON located in Auzouer-en-Touraine (Indre-et-Loire department), France, will manufacture textile auxiliaries which will be exported to Columbia.

June 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The French plant SYNTHRON located in Auzouer-en-Touraine (Indre-et-Loire department), France, will manufacture textile auxiliaries which will be exported to Columbia. The parent company of SYNTHRON, PROTEX INTERNATIONAL, has taken a 75% participation in HOLQUIMICA, a Columbian company located in Medellin, specialized in chemical products for the textile industry.

SYNTHRON manufactures specialty chemicals, and in particular textile auxiliaries (refining products, colouring agents, print auxiliaries ...) and records an annual turnover of EUR25 million with 92 employees on its industrial site, 15 of whom work for Research & Development. Over 50% of its production is destined for the export market, mainly Europe, the USA and Asia, and more recently Latin America.

The partnership marks a new phase in the development of SYNTHRON's activity, with the company's first presence in Latin America, an important centre for the future which should be a stepping stone to other countries on this continent and an important growth area.

In order to follow the model of SYNTHRON, HOLQUIMICA (turnover: USD$1 million) will also at the same time diversify its activities in the other activities of the Group: additives for paints & coatings, for paper ...

The two companies intend to exploit a mutual know-how in order to offer a complete and enlarged range of products for the textile industry. The Research & Development will be carried out on the Auzouer-en-Touraine site in France.

Despite an unfavourable economic context, SYNTHRON intends to develop its activities in France and abroad, and pursue its organic growth by recruiting both Research Engineers and Sales Engineers.
